Chelsea Signs began in Chelsea, Michigan over 8 years ago. At the time, their were 4 other graphic design studio's in Chelsea. I decided to hit the sign design angle and open up shop because Chelsea didn't have a sign shop or studio. Once we opened up, our studio grew by leaps and bounds. We were located above the historic Seitz Tavern, a local watering hole. We offered up banners, signs, vehicle lettering, ventured in sandblasted signs and old school methods of sign production as well as promoted our graphic and web design services.
My uncle had been in the sign business for over 30 years. I've picked up more knowledge about signs and painting that I have anywhere else. He's got a shop down in North Carolina and is still creating some fantastic chip glass pieces as well as some old school dimensional signs. I proudly display samples of his work in our shop.
After 5 years of growth, the smoke from Seitz Tavern ended up running us out. We moved to another downtown location before finding a permanent home in The Middle Square Professional Building next to the Chelsea Fire Station. We're located in the lower level of the complex. Come on down and check us out! The new digs are kid friendly and smoke free! We have adjacent parking too!
